Shawn Johnson Pregnant: Olympian Expecting First Child With Husband Andrew East After Tragic Miscarr

Olympian gymnast Shawn Johnson is pregnant. She is expecting her first child with her husband Andrew East after suffering a tragic miscarriage in 2017.

The happy couple shared their good news via social media with big smiles. Johnson and East have already created a unique social media handle for their baby.

Along with her Instagram picture and announcement, the couple also released a YouTube video to talk about baby East. Johnson got candid about being pregnant after having a miscarriage.

“It is really scary for us just because of what happened last time, but we’re just praying that this one that we make it all the way. We’ll see,” shared the 27-year-old.

The Winning Balance author shared she is feeling really good. Other than some occasional nausea, which Johnson admits is getting better each week. The soon to be first-time has not any pregnancy issues this time around.

However, since she did have a miscarriage, Johnson is overly cautious. She references her feelings in the video as “casually optimistic.”

“I want to be so excited, and I am, but I’m also just very realistic that things can happen, and I’m just kind of taking it one day at a time. I know God’s got a plan for us,” Johnson shared.

The couple also let their fans know they have been to the doctor three different times. So far everything looks good with the baby. Although Johnson and East did admit they were nervous about announcing the pregnancy because of the miscarriage, but they both are thrilled to let fans in on their exciting news.

They have the results but have not opened them yet became they want to do a big gender reveal. The only catch is, the happy soon to be parents are not sure what to do for the reveal.
